FE Residential 2024

FE's residential week took place at Golden Sands Holiday Home, Mablethorpe.

Day One

A very busy first day; travel and a picnic lunch on the way, unpacking, food shopping, tea out at the restaurant, playing the 2p machines in the arcade and then a singer and dancing at the entertainment. Everyone happy and ready for bed!!!!

Day Two

What a lovely day, everyone slept well, one or two early risers but some pupils slept in too. We had a great time swimming with lots of pupils using the water slide. A trip to a bit of a cool and windy beach where we played cricket, football and collected stones and shells and made a collage with them. Chilli, Shepherds pie and pasta bolognaise cooked for tea and then on to the amusements and entertainment where there was a great singer and lots of dancing till 10pm!!!!

Day Three

Another great night's sleep. 

Weather very wet today but after a full English breakfast we went into town gift shopping. After lunch we went to the seal sanctuary where we saw loads of different animals including; birds of prey, coatis, lynx, gibbons and terrapins. We cooked shepherds pie and chilli for tea before DVD night.

Day Four

A good night's sleep for everybody. After breakfast we went swimming and nearly everyone went on the slide! Back to the caravans for lunch and then crazy golf in the afternoon. Weather has been dry, sunny and windy today particularly blowing our towels and swimming costumes off the balcony of the caravan when we were trying to dry them!!! We had our fish and chip takeaway for tea and they were so big most people couldn't finish them! We watched Aladdin the pantomime, played machines in the arcade and went to the disco before sadly going back to the caravans and starting to pack. We have all had the best time but will also be pleased to see our families.

p.s. if anything comes home that does not belong to your child please return it to school after the holidays. Your young person has been a pleasure to take away and they are a credit to themselves, their families and the school.
